The concept of the ‘Magic India’ collection is based on the inspiration of Indian and Mehndi or Henna motifs. These patterns are used in celebrations and ceremonies to adorn the bodies of young women as part of social ceremonies. The main ceremony in which the motifs are used is marriage and is a way of expressing the feelings, beliefs and religiousness of the Indians as well as a way of blessing for the future couple. The key element in the print collection is the peacock, which is considered a national symbol (bird) of India and symbolizes the companionship that one shares with a loved one. Apart from the peacock, of course, you will also find other symbols in the collection, which of course are a challenge to discover!
